Tuttarvik includes a website and mobile app that helps job seekers make a resume, promote skills, apply for jobs and find training opportunities. The simple and user-friendly resume builder was co-developed with Inuit in the Qikiqtani Region. Making a resume is easy now, and Inuit can highlight traditional skills to employers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-dark18\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.qia.ca\/what-we-do\/training-and-jobs\/\">Qikiqtani Skills and Training for Employment Partnership (Q-STEP)<\/a> program is one opportunity available through Tuttarvik. Register online and watch instructional videos to learn more on the Tuttarvik website.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-87320258 is-style-qwork is-style-ellab\"><h4 class=\"uagb-heading-text\"><strong><strong>Q-STEP &#8211; Increasing Employment and Training Opportunities for Inuit<\/strong><\/strong><\/h4><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-dark18\">We are collaborating with more organizations to develop training and employment opportunities, including wage subsidies for employers who hire Q-STEP participants. Training is available for heavy equipment operator, driver training and work readiness. The Inuit Training and Development Program aims to provide career development and mobility for underemployed Inuit with opportunities for career development and promotions, including trades, administration and management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-dark18\">Since 2017-18, Q-STEP has provided pre-employment training for Inuit in the Qikiqtani Region with funding from the Government of Canada and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kakivak.ca\/\">Kakivak Association<\/a>.
